Your benefits

How orthodontic and dental benefits differ

They work differently, and we check both before treatment starts.

Orthodontic benefits

Many plans pay a percentage of treatment, up to a lifetime orthodontic maximum. Some pay up to 50 percent; full coverage is uncommon.

Children’s dental benefits

Children’s dental plans cover the essential treatments of a child’s visits: cleanings, exams, sealants and fluoride.

Invisalign and adults

Invisalign is often partly covered when a plan includes orthodontic benefits, and some plans offer partial coverage for adults.

Medicaid and Tricare

For orthodontics: Horizon NJ Family Care (Medicaid) & Total Care, Liberty Dental Medicaid plans, and United Concordia’s Tricare DOD Program.

Financing

Financing and ways to pay

Competitive prices, special in-house financing and CareCredit®.

Ways to pay

Spread the cost

  • In-house payment plans

Interest-free in-house plans divide the total cost into manageable monthly payments, tailored to your budget, for all orthodontic and Invisalign packages.

  • HSA and FSA

Use pre-tax health savings or flexible spending funds for many dental and orthodontic services, from checkups to braces and Invisalign.

  • CareCredit financing

CareCredit® for extended payment terms. Based on credit approval, you may qualify for low or no-interest monthly plans.

Every financial detail is discussed with you before treatment begins.

Before you commit

Clear costs before you start

  • Complimentary consultations

Orthodontic consultations are complimentary: the recommended treatment, its cost, your benefits and your options, explained.

  • A detailed quote

At your consultation: the total cost, including fees for appointments, adjustments and appliances, so there are no surprises later.

  • Family pricing

Special pricing when more than one family member is in orthodontic treatment, and bundled packages, such as Invisalign with retainers.

HSA and FSA

Paying with HSA or FSA funds

We accept HSA and FSA funds for many of our dental and orthodontic services.

Eligible dental and orthodontic services

With an HSA or FSA through your employer or individual healthcare plan, you can use pre-tax funds for eligible expenses such as:

  • Routine dental exams and cleanings
  • X-rays and diagnostic services
  • Dental sealants and fluoride treatments
  • Orthodontic consultations
  • Braces (traditional, ceramic, or clear aligners like Invisalign®)
  • Retainers and follow-up visits
  • Emergency dental treatments

HSA or FSA funds can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs for treatment insurance may not fully cover, such as braces or certain advanced orthodontic services.

Important tip

FSA funds usually expire; HSA funds roll over

Most FSA funds expire at the end of your plan year, so use your balance before the deadline. HSA funds roll over year to year, which makes them a flexible long-term option.

We apply it with you

Not sure a procedure qualifies, or how to use your benefits? We make sure your HSA or FSA is applied correctly and transparently.

Keep your receipts

Orthodontic payments may count toward medical deductions if you itemize. Keep every receipt and ask a tax professional.

Do orthodontic and dental benefits work differently?

Usually, yes. Many plans pay a percentage of orthodontic treatment, up to a lifetime orthodontic maximum, while children’s dental plans cover essential treatments such as cleanings, exams, sealants and fluoride. We check your benefits before treatment starts.

Does insurance cover Invisalign?

Often in part. Invisalign is sometimes partially covered by dental insurance, especially if your plan includes orthodontic benefits: some plans cover up to 50 percent of the treatment cost, with a maximum lifetime benefit. We check yours before treatment starts.

Do you submit the claim, or do I?

We do. We check your benefits before starting treatment, file insurance claims for you and give you a clear estimate of your out-of-pocket responsibility.

Do you offer monthly payment plans?

Yes. Our interest-free in-house payment plans divide the total cost into manageable monthly payments, for all orthodontic and Invisalign packages. We also offer CareCredit® for extended terms: based on credit approval, you may qualify for low or no-interest monthly plans.

Can I use an HSA or FSA?

Yes. We accept HSA and FSA funds for many dental and orthodontic services, including exams and cleanings, X-rays, sealants and fluoride, orthodontic consultations, braces, Invisalign, retainers and emergency treatment. Most FSA funds expire at the end of your plan year, while HSA funds roll over year to year.

Is the consultation free?
